Welcome to North Seattle Community College. Our college has over 6,500 students including about 350 international students from 50 countries.

Our two-year, government community college is a good choice. Its costs are lower and its entrance requirements are less than most universities and private schools. Every year our international students join our American students in graduating with Associate's degrees. These two-year degrees allow students to transfer to the third year of universities such as the University of Washington, Seattle University, and UCLA. After two more years at a university, students can get a Bachelor's degree in over 80 majors.

If your English ability is not at the college level, you can take intensive English classes in the college's International ESL program. In the advanced levels you can take college classes and English at the same time. We have about 100 international students taking our English classes. We prepare students to succeed in college. Our classes in conversation, listening, reading, writing, grammar and ESL/computers are small, with about 12 students in each. The instructors are highly qualified, with Master's degrees. When you successfully finish the English program, you can begin college programs full-time without a TOEFL score. Or if you do not want to attend college, you can take other practical courses to improve your English.
