One of the goals is to help students adjust to a different cultural and academic environment. Meeting staff and other students in a group setting helps establish relationships, friendships, and the sharing of other cultures. This provides a connection to the college and an opportunity to obtain and provide information and support for each other. The meetings can be an arena where students can discuss their academic and cultural experiences.I had many doubts about attending college in the States but the staff was helpful and made it very easy for me, they told me exactly what I needed to do and how to do it. Before I knew it I was registered and ready for class. I guess what I am saying is that I chose MCCC because they were the most responsive to my needs than all the other colleges I expressed interest in. AdmissionThe international application is accessible to download on our website. Placement testing is required for most students and allows the College to help determine the student's readiness for college-level coursework. Exemptions to this testing include certain SAT scores and the amount of college credits previously earned. All students are encouraged to meet with an advisor/counselor from the Student Success Center to discuss your academic path here at the College.
