About Maui Community College

Maui Community College is an accredited, government approved degree-granting college that enrolls approximately 3000 students per semester. As reflected by a MetLife Foundation Best Practices Award, both the faculty and student support services staff are committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.

Maui CC is a beautiful and safe campus located in Kahului, Maui, approximately two miles from the main airport. Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands, with land area of 729 square miles. The island's population of 117,644 is diverse, with an ethnic mix of 36% Caucasian and 23% Japanese, followed by Hawaiian, Chinese, and Filipino. Maui has 81 accessible beaches for educational and recreational activities.

Academic Programs

Maui CC offers excellent programs for students transferring into bachelor degree programs at University of Hawaii institutions or other accredited colleges and universities. Maui CC also offers over 17 Career and Technical Education degrees and certificates. In addition, the college offers a four-year bachelor’s degree in Applied Business and Information Technology.

English Language Program

Maui CC's Maui Language Institute offers a strong English language program for international students who want to improve their English skills for academic, professional, or personal purposes. Intensive English classes are offered in six-week sessions.

Transfer Opportunities

International students successfully transfer to excellent colleges and universities in Hawaii and across the United States. You will be assigned an academic advisor who will work with you to develop an educational plan to achieve your short and long term goals.

Student Housing

A new student apartment complex that can accommodate 400 students is located within walking distance of the college and shopping, dining, and entertainment facilities. Each fully furnished apartment will house four students in two spacious bedrooms with single beds and two bathrooms. Common areas include a large shared living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Each apartment unit features utilities, including water and electricity, high speed internet service, basic cable, phone and TV outlets, and a balcony.

International Student Services

Maui CC offers a comprehensive range of services to international students, including airport pickup, short and long term housing, community orientation, translation services, shopping and activities information, health insurance, counseling (academic, career, transfer, and personal), campus health center access, cooperative education and job placement, and on-campus student activities.

Applying to Maui CC

International students may apply for the fall and spring semesters. The I-20 application deadline is July 1 for fall and November 1 for spring.
